Personal Data (Signed-In Users)
- Name & Email Address: Collected when you sign in via Google OAuth or email link authentication. Used to personalize your experience, manage your account, and communicate with you.
- Payment Information: Collected securely through our payment processor (Dodo Payments) to process your subscription payments. We do not store your card details directly.
Non-Personal Data
- Usage logs, including the number of pages and PDFs processed.
- For guest (non-signed-in) users, we collect your IP address solely to enforce fair usage limits (up to 5 pages per day). This data is not used for tracking or marketing purposes.
We do not collect browsing history or device identifiers.
Purpose of Data Collection
- Provide and improve our services.
- Process subscription payments.
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests.
- Monitor usage to prevent abuse and ensure fair use of the service.
- Track page quotas and subscription status for signed-in users.
File Processing and Storage
- When you upload a PDF, it is sent securely to the Google Gemini API for invoice detection and metadata extraction.
- The actual splitting, cropping, and renaming of invoices are performed in your browser — not on our servers.
- Files smaller than 4 MB are sent directly to the API and are never stored on our servers.
- Files larger than 4 MB are temporarily uploaded to Firebase Storage, processed, and then deleted.
- We do not permanently store uploaded files or extracted invoice data.
- Files sent to Google Gemini are not used for AI training purposes.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as necessary to:
- Process payments through Dodo Payments (www.dodopayments.com).
- Process PDF analysis through Google Cloud (Gemini API).
- Store account data via Google Firebase.
Children's Privacy
Invoice Splitter is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
